Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Joelle is a New York-based DJ blending the sun-soaked rhythms of her home country with the eclectic, genre-bending pulse of the city she now calls home. With each tune she plays and every record she spins, her sound moves fluidly between the warmth of Bossa Nova and Brazilian disco-funk, the melodic groove of downtempo and global fusion, and the sharp, minimal edge of deep and jazzy house – crafting sets that feel both rooted and restless.

Her musical instincts trace back to the icons who shaped Brazil's sound: the timeless melodies of Gal Costa, the tropicália spirit of Caetano Veloso, and the soulful groove of Tim Maia. That foundation expands outward through the global downtempo textures of Thievery Corporation and the sultry elegance of Sade – influences that show up in the way she layers mood over rhythm, letting a set unfold rather than rushing it.

Joelle has brought her sound to NYFW, playing for brands including PatBO, Schutz, Free Agency, and Fazenda, as well as staples like Chez Margaux, Souk Yoga, and Music For a While. Across each set, she translates a room's energy into a sonic voyage, layering mood and rhythm until the night molds its own shape.
